Vivek for Ohio Reports Over $30M Raised in 2026 Pre-Primary Filing

Campaign Has Over $30 Million Cash on Hand Heading into the General Election

COLUMBUS, OH — The Vivek for Ohio campaign continues its unprecedented fundraising momentum as it sprints toward November, reporting more than $30 million raised in its pre-primary filing, which brings the campaign’s total to a record-smashing $50+ million and over $30 million cash on hand. Of the $30 million raised during the pre-primary reporting period, $5 million came from donors, along with a $25 million investment from Vivek himself. The personal investment from Vivek matches the amount raised by the campaign to date and follows through on the personal financial commitment he pledged last July. These figures do not include any funds raised by outside groups supporting Vivek.

This announcement follows two new independent polls from Bowling Green State University and Echelon Insights this week showing Vivek in the lead, and also comes ahead of the campaign’s major planned investments to deliver his messages across the state in the months ahead.

Following the filing, Campaign Manager Jonathan Ewing said, “No gubernatorial campaign in Ohio history has ever put up numbers like this, and it sends a clear message: Ohioans are fired up for Vivek, our campaign is growing, and we will win big in November.”

In March, Vivek’s campaign launched its first $10 million statewide ad buy, taking his “Lower Costs, Bigger Paychecks, Better Schools” message directly to voters in every part of the state. After that early investment, the campaign still has an additional $30+ million cash on hand and is building on that number with massive small-dollar digital fundraising and large fundraisers planned across the state, including an unprecedented seven-figure fundraiser in Columbus this Thursday.

“Amy Acton lied to Ohioans about Covid, she lies about Vivek every day, and now we’re learning that she lied about her own past. Voters across Ohio will soon learn about her failed record and her dishonesty—and it’s far worse than imagined,” Ewing added.

Since receiving President Donald Trump’s endorsement on the first day of the campaign and the Ohio Republican Party’s endorsement in May 2025, Vivek has earned support from lawmakers, community leaders, Second Amendment advocates, pro-life organizations, law enforcement, and business leaders statewide. Vivek has also earned unprecedented support from a broad range of labor unions and trade unions across Ohio, including several unions that generally support Democrats in statewide races. This early and overwhelming support is setting a new standard in Ohio politics and demonstrating the powerful mandate forming behind Vivek’s vision for Ohio’s future.

Key Stats

  • Resetting All Fundraising Benchmarks: With more than six months until the general election, Vivek has already far surpassed all finance benchmarks set in recent gubernatorial campaigns. Compared with full-cycle fundraising, Vivek has doubled DeWine’s 2018 total and raised nearly 1.5x what DeWine raised in 2022.

  • Grassroots-Driven Fundraising: Vivek has received 392,347 donations from more than 120,000 unique donors, with an average contribution of just $63—highlighting the campaign’s broad-based grassroots strength. Donors giving $200 or less account for over 98% of individual contributions.

  • Unmatched Campaign Energy: Vivek’s campaign has hosted more than 130 in-state political events with a fundraising component, demonstrating unmatched campaign enthusiasm and earning support from donors in all areas of the state.
