Northwest Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council Endorses Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor

COLUMBUS, OH – Ahead of the upcoming Labor Day weekend, the Northwest Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council today announced its endorsement of Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor of Ohio.

The Council, comprised of 22 local unions, is a highly respected voice in the region representing thousands of men and women who build and maintain the backbone of Northwest Ohio’s infrastructure. Through robust apprenticeship programs and workforce development initiatives, the Council has long been a leader in preparing Ohioans for well-paying jobs in the skilled trades.

“Vivek Ramaswamy clearly understands the importance of the skilled trades to Ohio’s future, and we will do everything we can to make sure he is elected in 2026,” said Shaun Enright, Executive Secretary, and David Fleetwood, President of the Northwest Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council, in a joint statement. “We are proud to wholeheartedly endorse Vivek because we know he will be a governor who respects Ohio’s workers, listens to all Ohioans, and who will invest in the educational and apprenticeship programs that give Ohioans the tools to succeed. His vision for economic growth will create opportunities for our members and for all working families across the state.”

Mr. Ramaswamy welcomed the endorsement, highlighting his commitment to partnering with the trades to grow Ohio’s economy.
