Small Businesses Know Vivek Will Put Workers, Job Creators, and Main Street First
COLUMBUS — At an event at Johnson Electric Supply Company in Cincinnati, the National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio (NFIB Ohio) PAC announced its endorsement of Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor, bringing the support of Ohio’s largest small-business organization—representing more than 21,000 small and independent businesses—to his growing coalition.
“Ohio’s small business community is proud to endorse Vivek Ramaswamy to be Ohio’s next Governor,” said Jared Weiser, NFIB Ohio State Director. “Our members were looking for a candidate who understands the challenges facing small businesses and has a vision to unlock Ohio’s full potential. They found that in Vivek Ramaswamy. We are proud to announce our endorsement today and look forward to working with him to keep Ohio the best place in America to own, operate, and grow a small business.”
Founded in 1943, NFIB has spent decades fighting for the family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and job creators who form the backbone of communities across Ohio and employ roughly 50 percent of our workforce. Its members know firsthand what happens when government makes it harder for ordinary people to build something of their own.
Ramaswamy said the endorsement sends a clear message: Ohio’s small businesses are ready for a governor who will put economic growth for all Ohioans ahead of government bureaucracy and special interests.
“Small businesses are the backbone of towns and cities across Ohio, and they’re getting squeezed by government overgrowth. They were unfairly penalized by the disastrous Covid lockdowns that my opponent pushed on them. I’ll stand with hardworking Ohioans and entrepreneurs who work, hire, build, and take risks—not the bureaucrats standing in their way. We’ll get government off the backs of small businesses so they can grow here and help Ohio families get ahead,” said Ramaswamy.
The NFIB Ohio PAC endorsement adds to the growing momentum behind Vivek’s campaign to put Ohio’s workers, families, and small businesses ahead of big government and special interests—and make Ohio the best state in America to build, hire, invest, and get ahead.
