Republican Vivek Ramaswamy has established himself as his party’s likely nominee by obtaining President Donald Trump’s endorsement (the most valuable endorsement for any Republican to have), the Ohio Republican Party’s endorsement and building up a sizeable war chest that will dwarf any potential challenger’s.
The polling and the record attendance on the Republican dinner circuit also show Vivek’s commitment to the “America First” agenda.
His bold ideas for education reform, tax relief and the affordability issues facing Ohioans are resonating.
Nevertheless, the ugly head of identity politics has reared itself again, from the left, where we have come to expect it, and from a fringe of the right that takes umbrage with the fact that Vivek is the son of legal immigrants.
Ohioans would do well to focus on the important issues at hand, instead.
