Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters Endorses Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor

September 13, 2025

Columbus, OH — The Vivek for Ohio campaign today announced the endorsement of the Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters (CMRCC), a labor organization representing more than 37,000 carpenters, millwrights, and floor layers across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. This is the third labor endorsement Vivek has received in the past two weeks, demonstrating his strong support for Ohio’s workers.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters,” said Vivek. “The carpenters, millwrights, and skilled tradespeople of Ohio represent the engine that drives our economy. As governor, I will work to expand vocational training, partner with CMRCC on their priorities, and invest in infrastructure so that union workers and all Ohioans can thrive.”

The CMRCC is one of the region’s most influential voices for working families, advocating for strong apprenticeship programs, fair wages, safe job sites, and cracking down on employer misclassification and tax fraud.

“The CMRCC is committed to working as a partner with Vivek Ramaswamy to ensure he is elected Governor in November 2026,” said Jason Clark, Senior Political Advisor for the Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters. “Our members want leaders who respect the dignity of their work, prioritize safety, and understand the importance of fair labor practices. Vivek has shown he will fight for union jobs, strengthen training opportunities, and ensure Ohio’s working families have a real voice in the statehouse. We are proud to stand with him.”

The CMRCC’s endorsement adds to the growing list of organizations and leaders across the state rallying behind Vivek’s campaign. With grassroots enthusiasm and strong institutional backing, his candidacy continues to gain momentum heading into 2026.
